Pagecurl

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Your journals stay on your iPad. Pagecurl has no account, no ads and no tracking, and we never see what you write.

Who we are

Pagecurl is made by SLAY PRODUCTIONS SL, Calle Alemania 1, 39660 Costa Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain (registration B76736743), called “we” on this page. You can reach us at [email protected].

Your journals stay on your iPad

Everything you make in Pagecurl, your journals, pages, handwriting, covers, the pin board and your settings, is stored only on your iPad. We have no server and no copy of it. If iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer is turned on, iOS includes Pagecurl in that backup, which Apple handles under its own terms. Deleting the app deletes your journals from the iPad.

Handwriting recognition works on your iPad

Pagecurl reads your handwriting so you can search it, find dates and build the table of contents. This runs on your iPad with Apple’s text recognition, Apple’s on-device language model and Google ML Kit’s on-device handwriting recognition. Your handwriting and the recognized text are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Google ML Kit downloads the recognition model for your language from Google the first time it is needed. Google ML Kit also sends Google diagnostic and usage information: the device model and iOS version, the app’s identifier and version, an identifier for this installation that is not meant to identify you or your device, performance figures, error codes and the recognition language in use. It does not include your handwriting or your text. Google describes this in the ML Kit data disclosure and handles it under the Google Privacy Policy.

Calendar and Reminders

Only when you select something on a page and choose to add it to your calendar or to Reminders does Pagecurl ask iOS for permission. For the calendar it asks to add events only, and it cannot read your calendar. For Reminders, iOS asks for full access; Pagecurl uses it to show your reminder lists so you can pick one, and to add the to-dos you confirmed. Nothing from your calendar or Reminders leaves your iPad through Pagecurl. You can withdraw these permissions at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security.

Your subscription

You buy the Pagecurl subscription from Apple in the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. On your iPad, the App Store tells Pagecurl whether your subscription is running. Apple gives us sales reports that show, for example, how many subscriptions started in which country, without telling us who you are. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

Crash reports

If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your iPad’s settings, Apple sends us crash reports and anonymous usage figures for Pagecurl. You can turn this off in Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.

What we don’t do

Children

Pagecurl collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because your journals never reach us, we normally hold nothing about you, and you stay in control of your journals on your iPad. Write to [email protected] with any question. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

Changes

If Pagecurl starts handling data differently, we update this page and the date at the top before the new version of the app comes out.
